OK, let's set
the record straight. The people that work at Starland are really big fans of
Buckaroo Banzai. Although we were involved in the initial promotion of the
movie, we refuse to take any of the blame for the movie's box office numbers. We
did our bit and saw it several times when it first came to theaters and told
everyone we knew to go out and see the film.
Actually, we believe the fact that the main-stream public didn't "get it" is
part of the reason we like the movie so much. If everyone was into it, they'd
have rushed out a sequel that stunk and we wouldn't be able to look back at it
so fondly.
 There
was some movement on developing a Banzai TV series a year or two ago, but that
seemed to have staled and right now the movie and the fans are the only current
source of new Banzai lore. Here's a couple of comments by people in the "know"
that came out about the TV series. Terry Erdmann, AKA The Silver Fox, answered some questions about Buckaroo
Banzai. Also W.D. Richter, made some announcements regarding
the Buckaroo Banzai
TV show.
