Will and Elizabeth's wedding day is sadly interrupted by a Lord from England. Using the threat of death, he blackmails Will into searching for Captain Jack and a certain item in his possession. With only a moment to say goodbye to his betrothed, Will is quickly off in search of the pirate to save his bride-to-be Elizabeth from the gallows. In return for Jack's cooperation, Will is tricked into sailing aboard the legendary Flying Dutchman. On the haunted ship, Will comes face-to-face with its gruesome captain, the legendary Davy Jones. In apparent foreshadowing, The half man / half squid appears curiously interested in obtaining Will's soul and having him stay on the Dutchman forever.
The movie's incredible
effects and storyline
play respectful homage
to the Disney ride upon
which the film series is
based. The bayou scenes
in this chapter of the
saga masterfully set the
stage for the adventures
ahead in the 3rd movie
currently in production.
For fans of
swashbuckling adventure
and high-seas comedy,
this is the summer
cruise for which you've got to
book passage! This movie is rated PG-13. |
