Miracle Screening Quiz/Contest
Daytime Screening, Monday, January 26, 2004 @ 3:00pm at the Cherry Creek Theater in Denver
Miracle is the inspiring story of the team that transcended its sport and united a nation with a new feeling of hope. Based on the exciting true story of one of the greatest moments in modern history, the film captures a time and place where differences could be settled by games and a cold war could be put on ice. In 1980, the United States Ice Hockey teamıs coach, Herb Brooks (KURT RUSSELL), took a ragtag squad of college kids up against the legendary juggernaut from the Soviet Union at the Olympic Games.

Because this is a daytime screening, there is an extremely good chance that if you complete the quiz, you will get tickets - please don't enter unless you are sure you can make it to the screening. Click here to play for tickets.

The Five-Year Mission Continues
Star Trek fans band together to help children
Starland.com is proud to be an official mirror site for this fan produced project which hopes to raise money for The Space Shuttle Children's Trust Fund. This project is a labor of love and is dedicated to help create a better future for the children of our space pioneers that died in the Challenger and Columbia disasters.

Here's the concept... Why not continue Star Trek's Five-Year Mission? This isn't a comedy, it's a continuation. The characters have been recast, but retain their original roles with new actors. Most of the original sets and lighting have been painstakingly recreated, the special effects have been upgraded, and the first episode has been completed - with another on the way. Click here for more info and to see the episode.

Touching The Void Screening Quiz/Contest
Screening Tuesday, January 20 @ 7:30pm

Joe Simpson and Simon Yates set out to climb the west face of the Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes. It was 1985 and the men were young, fit, skilled climbers. The west face, remote and treacherous, had not been climbed before. Following a successful 3-day ascent, disaster struck. Simpson fell a short distance and broke several bones in his leg. With no hope of rescue, the men decided to attempt descent together with Yates lowering Simpson 300 feet at a time in a slow, painful process that could have potentially been deadly for both. One further misstep led to Yates unknowingly lowering his injured partner over the lip of a crevasse. With the gradient having gone from steep to vertical, he was no longer able to hold on. Certain they were about to be pulled jointly to their deaths -- the only choice was to cut the rope. Based on the international bestseller, "Touching the Void," which combines dramatic and documentary techniques, is directed by Kevin Macdonald, the Academy Award-winning director of "One Day in September."  Click here to play for tickets.

Bone: Out From Boneville

What is Bone? It's a combination of things, really. Things like fantasy, adventure, humor, and even a little horror, done in such a way that all ages can enjoy. It's Dungeons and Dragons, meets Walt Disney, with just a bit of The Lord of the Rings tossed in. Yet, it all smacks of freshness and originality. - Mark Allen
