Screening on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at 7:00pm The Colorado Center Theater (I-25 & Colorado Blvd) Retired hitman Jimmy "The Tulip" Tudeski is living the quiet life in a beachfront bungalow in Mexico, miles away from his former life. Thanks to falsified dental records supplied by onetime neighbor and friend Nicholas "Oz" Oseransky, D.D.S., Jimmy faked his own death and has taken up a new line of work befitting his nowfound domestic tranquility: cleaning the house and perfecting his culinary skills with his wife Jill, a purported novice assassin who has yet to pull off a clean hit. Suddenly, an uninvited and most unwelcome connection to their past shows up on the Tudeskis' doorstep. "Samwise Gamgee" of The Lord of the Rings Sean made his feature film debut (at age 13) as "Mikey Walsh" in Richard Donner's adventure The Goonies. Later his portrayal of a young man determined to play football for Notre Dame in Rudy won hearts across America, and continues to inspire young people whenever it is shown. Other well-known film credits include Bulworth, Courage Under Fire, Memphis Belle, Encino Man, Like Father Like Son, Where the Day Takes You, Staying Together, War of the Roses, Safe Passage, and White Water Summer. He currently stars in The Lord of the Rings, as "Samwise Gamgee," the trustworthy companion of Frodo Baggins in their quest to return "the ring" to Mt. Doom. Monday, March 29, 2004 at 7:00pm at the UA Continental 6 (I-25 & Hampden) From visionary writer/director Guillermo Del Toro (Blade II, The Devil's Backbone) comes Hellboy, a supernatural action adventure based on Mike Mignola's popular Dark Horse Comics series of the same name. Born in the flames of hell and brought to Earth as an infant to perpetrate evil, Hellboy was rescued from sinister forces by the benevolent Dr. Broom, who raised him to be a hero. In Dr. Broom's secret Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, Hellboy creates an unlikely family consisting of the telepathic "Mer-Man" Abe Sapien and Liz Sherman, the woman he loves who can control fire. Hidden from the very society that they protect, they stand as the key line of defense against an evil madman who seeks to reclaim Hellboy to the dark side and use his powers to destroy mankind. Richard Hatch also known as Apollo of Battlestar Galactica will be appearing on our expanded Friday schedule as a speaker where he'll present footage from The Great War of Magellan and also show a teaser film he produced for a proposed Battlestar Galactica series. His tranquil village is now besieged by drugs, violence and a general malaise. The creeping evil seems to originate from a crooked casino where his ex-girlfriend now works as a dancer. After becoming the County Sheriff he realizes it's time to bust some heads and do some Tall Walking. This movie is Rated PG-13. D., a charlatan professor who's assembled a gang of "experts" for the heist of the century. The thieves: experts in explosions, tunneling, and muscle, and the critical "inside man." The base of operations: the root cellar of an unsuspecting, church-going little old lady named Mrs. Munson. The ruse: the five need a place to practice their church music. The problem: it quickly becomes evident that Don's thieves lack the mental capacity to do the job. The bigger problem: they have all seriously underestimated their upstairs host. Best-known to sci-fi/fantasy fans as the consummate Peacekeeper officer , David's character Captain Braca on the Farscape TV series shifted allegiance as often as Rygel passed gas. From the moment he stepping on the command carrier at the end of the first season, he's become one of those guys you love to hate. David is also starred as Brutus in Seasons 4 and 5 of Xena: The Warrior Princess additional film and TV credits include Time Trax, Survive the Savage Sea, Crocodile Dundee In Los Angeles, The Crocodile Hunter and Matrix 2 Reloaded.
