Our good buddy Larry Nemechek asked the following questions that he'd like your input on. If you come up with a good idea, you'll probably get the satisfaction of seeing it on a future Star Trek DVD release.

If you could pick a bonus feature to include on a Star Trek DVD re: any or all of the movies, what would it be?

Or put another way--is there some subject re: the ST movies (all 10) that has not been done yet that you'd like to see? Either a specific topic, or a format—maybe a setup you liked on another DVD's bonus feature?

It would be nice to have a featurette revolving around the design and construction of any of the starship and other spacecraft models used for filming -- whether they were actual physical models or computer based CGI models. The same goes for a featurette aboput any of the matte paintings and/or scale models of planetary surfaces, landscapes, places, etc.

I have always thought that the ability to play the movie with the deleted scenes added back in would be very cool.

I dont know if its possible to have the movie play as it was released and then have an option to play it with extended and/or deleted scenes added back in with out having two seprate copies of the movie on the disk (Thus causing the DVD to be more than one disk).

For example, there would simply be a folder on the DVD with the Extended/Deleted scenes in it along with the original movie. When you select the add Extended/Deleted scenes option the movie would play and incorperate the scenes as it was playing.....smoothly of course.

I'd like to see interviews with some of the writers as to how they got ideas
for the episodes/movies.

Great Subject!!! The last time I got together with some ST Movie enthusiasts- last con or so- we watched the commentary of some of our favorite movies and shows (Resident Evil and B5 respectively) and we had a scream listening to the actors describe the goings on behind the scenes!! I nearly showered my friends with Diet DP  when I heard some of the jokes played on the sets, etc!! I thought it was a stroke of genius  to invite the actors out to a meal and drinks (Not TOO many) and then get them comfortable and let them watch the movie with their fellow actors from the series...and let the stories flow!!! We get to sit there and listen to the stuff we all love to hear (and usually ask about) at the conventions!!!! Maybe some of the best questions could be compiled before hand from US and read out loud @ the appropriate time if the conversations lag... So some of the unfortunate people who don't get the benefit of a CON- can see what the best part is....relating to those gifted actors and actresses who made the magic possible!!!! I would love to see actor commentary on all of the Movies and episodes!!! With fan input on some great questions!!! (Seriously- if you-all want to hear some great times- check out B5's commentary and see what Mr. Garabaldi was up to behind the scenes...!!) May Trek take it to the next level for the FANS!!! LL&P JD
