Ask anyone who meets him - Anthony Head is nothing like Rupert Giles, the character he plays on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Although most people might not recognize him in public wearing jeans and a silk shirt, he should be no stranger to SF fans. Prior to landing his job as the somewhat stuffy rudder on Buffy's hard-to-steer ship, he was a regular on the science fiction series VR.5. (Hey, that would mean he always gets to play with blonds?) He also guest-starred on TV's Highlander. Anthony had a good thing going on British TV before jumping over the pond. He performed in several productions including: Secret Army, Accident, and Bergerac, just to name a few. The accent is real, he was born and raised in England and attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Sure, he's played in lots of West End theater productions, but his best SF stage role was starring as Dr. Frank ‘N Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. In Rocky Horror circles, his portrayal is often considered the most sexy to grace the stage. He is currently working on an adult animated feature film which he co-wrote. He is currently lives in Los Angeles, but spends a lot of time in England too. |

Tracy has firmly
planted her feet in the Science Fiction genre withstarring roles in
Babylon 5, The Highlander TV series and Lois and Clark. While piloting
Babylon 5 as Captain Elizabeth Lochley, Tracy had little opportunity to
feature her physical attributes in the series' military costumes. That was
not the case on Lois and Clark where she played the sexy gossip columnist
just a little to well for her own good. Rumor has it that she was removed
from the show because her character was upstaging Teri Hatcher (Lois Lane)
too much. |

He plays Neelix, the cook with the sideburns, on Star Trek: Voyager. When the show started, he had his own live-in girlfriend - but they took her off the show and he's had to live a pretty monastic life during the last five years of his space voyage. Ethan, who's first given name is really John, started his Star Trek career on Star Trek: The Next Generation as "Dr. Farek." The producers obviously like him and his tenure on Voyager has outlasted that of most trendy restaurant chefs. He grew-up on Long Island, earned an English Literature degree from Boston University and then obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree from Cornell University. In spite of his impressive education, he's one of the most down-to-earth and nice guys you'll ever meet. Before Voyager he was quite a backpacker and rock climber, maybe he'll get back to that after he's done traveling in the stars. At Starcon 2000, he'll be performing a special one-man performance/reading of Saved From Obscurity - a very funny play about a fresh, young, New York actor learning the ins and outs of his craft in the big city. The play is comic and cathartic piece that has been adapted for this performance by the playwright. This is a event you won't want to miss! |

Von is best-known for playing Special Agent Ronald Sandoval, liaison and bodyguard to Zo'or, in Gene Roddenberry's Earth: Final Conflict. His character is perhaps the most mysterious and unexplained on the show. His agenda is not apparent, but does not seem to coincide with that of either the Talons or The Resistance. It will be a real treat to ask him about his own perception of the complicated and solitary man he plays onscreen. Living in Toronto, Von started his career by studying acting at night and working in real estate during the day. His first work was a guest role on Night Heat. He followed that success with leading roles on FX: The Series, Kung Fu, TekWar, TekJustice and TekLords. He also has guest starred on The Adventures of Sinbad, Lonesome Dove, Forever Knight, E.N.G., and Street Legal. His feature film roles are in I Love a Man in Uniform and Eclipse. His other pursuits include playing the trumpet and dance. The rest of his life, like that of Sandoval - is a mystery. |

Mark is best-known for his portrayal of Major Don West on the 60's TV hit Lost in Space. On a ship full of Robinson's and one Smith, Don seemed to be the only guy on the ship that knew what to do with that one Smith - send him out the nearest airlock! But if the family of castaways would have listened to him, there'd have been no foolish foil on the show. Mark didn't start (or end) his career in space, in his junior year in college, he left Holy Cross to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Like many actors, he then left for Los Angeles where he almost immediately landed the role of Cully in the TV series Johnny Ringo. It was then that he changed his given name from Chuck to Mark largely due to his friend and mentor, Chuck Conners the star of The Rifleman. After Johnny Ringo, Mark moved on to a role on The Detectives before landing in Lost in Space. After Lost in Space, Mark guest starred in many shows including: The Fall Guy and Mod Squad. On stage for Martin Scorcese he played opposite Liza Minelli in the Broadway musical The Act. On daytime TV he was on One Life to Live and killed Alec Baldwin on The Doctors. He later starred as Derek Barrington on General Hospital. Eventually, Mark decided to resume college studies and earned a Masters Degree in Education. He now lives with an English professor -his wife and son in Massachusetts and occasionally visits his fans at science fiction conventions. |

The show is called Buck Rogers, but for most guys watching the show - like I did, it was ALL about Erin Gray, who played Colonel Wilma Deering. I remember who upset I was when her hair color changed during the series - and I can't wait to find out why! After Buck Rogers, she starred on Silver Spoons and really turned mainstream. Fewer people know that Erin was the original I'm Worth It woman for L'Oreal, one of the first Sports Illustrated models and the Maxi Girl for Max Factor. She's starred in many Movies-Of-The-Week, including Born Beautiful, Starman, Laker Girls, Coach of the Year, Police Story, and Code of Vengeance, as well as, starring opposite Kenny Rogers in the Feature Film Six Pack. In the theater, she's performed leading roles in California Suite and Six Rooms River View, and achieved critical success in Social Security. Last year she completed 3 feature films, a cameo role in "The Last Producer" with Burt Reynolds, a starring role in the independent feature film, A Woman's Story, and "Social Misfits." Her genre films include: "Jason Goes To Hell", T-Force, and the first original movie for the USA/Sci-Fi Networks, "Official Denial." Currently, Erin appears in a recurring role on NBC's "Profiler" portraying Congresswoman Karen Archer and Robert Davi's love interest. She will soon appear in the suspense thriller movie, "Once In A Blue Moon". She is also a spokesperson for Haven House and involved in way too many charitable projects to mention here. With her husband, noted Cinematographer Richard Hissong, she is currently producing a video on Chi Kung & Tai Chi. Oh, and she is also raising two children. |
Lawrence
Montaigne
Lawrence Montaigne starred and co-starred in twenty-five films in the U.S. and in Europe. He appeared in more than one hundred television episodes. Star Trek fans know him from two of the Classic Series' best episodes. He played Decius in The Balance of Terror and as Stonn the Vulcan, who ended up with Spock's intended in Amok Time. |
Richard
LeParmentier
As Admiral Motti, Richard played the Imperial Officer who believed more in the power of his Death Star than the power of The Force. Was his skepticism rewarded? No, Darth Vader raised his finger and he promptly lost his ability to breathe. That particular moment in Star Wars gave audiences their first inkling of the awesome power of The Dark Side. With the passing of Peter Cushing and Don Henderson, Richard is the last surviving Imperial Officer from the original Star Wars movie. He has appeared in over fifty films and television shows in Britain and the United States. His science fiction credentials include Rollerball and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. |

A long-lost member of the Dave, Jeff and Terry team, Terry has finally agreed to return to the Denver conventions. As a publicist, Terry has worked on behalf of some of our favorite movies like: Aliens, Alien Nation, Star Trek V, Stargate and Goldeneye. He is the author of Star Trek: Action!, The Secrets of Star Trek: Insurrection, and The Tribble Handbook. With Paula M. Block, he has just completed Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion. Terry has spent the last seven years observing every aspect of DS9's production, from story break sessions to musical scoring. He has personally interviewed the actors, artists, writers, producers, filmmakers and musicians, on the sets, in their dressing trailers, in their offices, and in their favorite restaurants. From those one-on-one sessions Terry and Paula have distilled 736 pages of production information, photographs, drawings and secrets. Terry is looking forward to meeting you in-person and having you interview him. |

With her co-author, Terry J. Erdmann, Paula make her second guest appearance at Starcon. As a professional writer and editor, it is Paula's job to oversee the publishing division of Viacom Consumer Products, the licensing arm for Paramount Pictures. She's been filling those "temporary" duties for the past eleven years. Paula co-conceived the popular Klingon Day of Honor book series, and is one of the trio of editors responsible for Pocket's fan-authored Strange New Worlds books. Paula contributed to Where No One has Gone Before, Star Trek: Action!, and The Secrets of Star Trek: Insurrection. She's informed us that her next book will be about a dog. Why don't your novel ideas past her at the convention and get her to sign your copy of her new book at the same time? |

Working as Gene Roddenberry's personal assistant and liaison with the licensing department for years, Richard has an intimate relationship with Star Trek. Richard has been working as a Star Trek consultant to several Star Trek licensees over the last few years and has helped select and reject many of the images and products produced for the property. Richard is an incredible Star Trek Trivia expert and you'd be hard-pressed stumping him. I've tried! He knows Star Trek. If you have a question related to just about anything Trek - he's the guy to settle the bet. |

He's been our Master of Ceremonies forever - well not forever, but for as long as anyone can remember. Unfortunately, most of his jokes are that old too! This year, Keven passed the 1/2 century mark. Be sure to ask him what it's like being as old as dirt ;). |
