Christopher
DemetralMr. Demetral plays Jules Verne on the syndicated television show The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne. Demetral began acting at the age of eleven, appearing in the educational video Kids Have Rights, Too. What followed was a sort of AP class on television, with roles in Major Dad and The Wonder Years. His “graduation” was assured with his six-year run on the HBO comedy series, Dream On, playing the son of Brian Benben and Wendie Malick. For that portrayal, Chris won the 1993 Best Young Actor Starring in a Cable Series at the Young Artist Awards. Chris appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation and had a recurring role on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. He also appeared in Jonathan: The Boy Nobody Wanted, Bloodlines: Murder in the Family, Triumph Over Disaster: The Hurricane Andrew Story, Stephen King's Sometimes They Come Back, Going Under, Blank Check, Dallas: J.R. Returns as Christopher Ewing, Journey of the Heart, For Hope, Beverly Hills 90210, Dawson's Creek - in a recurring role, and C.S.I. Chris will be at The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne fan table in the Activities Room on Saturday to meet with anybody that wants to come by and say hi. |

Dee Wallace Stone is probably best known for her motherly role in E.T., but her SF credentials include The Howling, Cujo, Critters, Invisible Mom (1&2), Popcorn, Shadow Play, Legend of the White Horse, Alligator 2, The Phoenix and the Magic Carpet, The Stepford Wives, The Hills Have Eyes and The Frighteners. Dee has appeared in numerous TV shows and movies having nothing to do with science fiction too - Lou Grant, Secret Admirer and "10" among others. Recently, she filmed Pirates of the Plain with Tim Curry in South Africa. Her website lists an incredibly busy appearance schedule and a whole series of motivational tapes she has available. This woman seems to be a real dynamic individual that will be very interesting to meet and talk with. Dee will be at Starfest 2002 both Saturday and Sunday and appear onstage for Q&A (schedule permitting) both days. |
