Starfleet Academy: Astronomy 204 – Stars and Star Charts: Full of Hot Air and Gas (And We Don’t Mean Your Commanding Officer)
The relationship between sentient beings and the stars has varied from worship to astronavigation. Students will learn about how the ancients used stars to guide their lives and how we today use them to steer our spaceships. Remember your star is somebody’s sun, and that "a star to steer her by" may be the one you are orbiting.

Starfleet Academy: Engineering 444: Space Station Design – Are You Sure It’s Not Upside Down?
Nothing is more important than that "Home Away From Home" – your oasis in space. Crews frequently complain that they could design a better space station. Now’s your chance! Students will have a chance to construct models of their own vision of a space station.

Starfleet Academy: LS 100 Life Skills: The Rec Deck, or What to do Between Your Shift and Your Sleep/Meditation Cycle
"The more advanced the life form, the greater the need for play." Relaxation is the key to high morale, which is the key to a smoothly operating ship's crew. Humans, Andorians, Tellerites and Vulcans all use "downtime" differently, but all can use it on the Rec Dec. We will explore the vital role of relaxation in Starfleet, the evolution of the Rec Deck, and the career paths available for those special members of Starfleet who just want to help their fellow sentients be happy!

Starfleet Academy: Sociology 304 – Female Studies: A Mass of Conflicting Impulses?
Xenologists differ, usually along gender lines, as to whether the female of any species is more difficult to understand than the male. The Federation and Starfleet have had their own difficulty determining the appropriate role for females in all aspects, and indeed, whether they need one. We will look at the history of females in Starfleet, the role of women in the galaxy and whether or not they are a truly "a mass of conflicting impulses."
