Born and raised in Oregon, Katee has accomplished a lot in the last 11 years. Her incredible talent for creating indelible characters will undoubtedly leave an impact on the sci-fi genre for many decades to come. Even before she had appeared in a single scene of Battlestar Galactica she was creating waves: when news was leaked that the role of Starbuck (made hugely popular by Dirk Benedick in the original series) was going to be played by a woman. Not only did Katee manage to rise to that challenge, but she created such an presence onscreen that the show's producers decided to expand and enhance her character's role once the mini-series went episodic. Some fans may recognize Katee from a part she played - another character with plenty of attitude - in the Halloween Resurrection thriller with Jamie Lee Curtis. That role hit screens just one year before her big Battlestar break. Seemingly killed mid-series on Battlestar, her character Captain Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace returned from the dead to claim she kinda knew the way back to Earth. Incidentally, during the time she was dead, she starred in a remake of Bionic Woman as the same sort of complicated yet vulnerable rebel she's made famous on BG. Also during that time she appeared in the genre features The Last Sentinel and White Noise 2: The Light. Many game fans will recognize her voice as the female marine in the video game Halo 3. She's also made voice contributions to the highly popular web and cable show Robot Chicken. Recently she starred in the Dick Wolf (Law & Order) pilot Lost and Found which may be picked up for TV this fall. In that series she plays a troubled young officer that prowls through the John and Jane Doe files and breaks rules solving her cases... Rules we hope she won't be breaking at Starfest this year. Katee will appear at Starfest on Saturday, April 18th only.
