Thank you for the fun!

An incredible weekend of
science fiction overload!

John de Lancie

John arrived late on Saturday and quickly set our staff to work to improve the stage for the evening performance of The Lion and The Portuguese. Stools were selected, lighting and positions were taped and then, when Kate Mulgrew arrived, they made the final adjustments as a thundering crowd of people waited outside to enter.

The audience of nearly a thousand people was seated. Then, without introduction, John took the stage and delivered the audience to a place and time where they would spend the next 90 minutes - within the lives and events of Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

Prior to the performance, John was concerned with the reaction his dramatic piece would receive. It was the first time it would be performed in its entirety. During his preamble, John told the audience that the second act would be performed only if the audience wanted to. Well, the audience did and the conclusion was met with a thunderous standing ovation.

Bravo to John, who starred in, directed, co-wrote and produced the performance!
