The Lion and the Portuguese

A funny, thoughtful and entertaining production based on the life and love of Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. A intriguing story about the passion of two people, brought together by their thoughts and ideals.
Robert was first drawn to Elizabeth through her writings and then began a correspondence that blossomed into romance. Through that correspondence, he inspired his own talent and went on to become one of the great writers of the 19th Century.
Starring Kate Mulgrew as Elizabeth Barrett Browning and John de Lancie as Robert Browning. The play was conceived by John de Lancie and written by Susan Rivers. The production will be performed on the Starfest Main Events Stage on Saturday, April 15, 2000 at 8:00PM. A portion of the proceeds from the performance will be donated to charity.
People already holding reserved seats to the convention have the right to purchase the same seats they have for the convention - as long as they are purchased prior to March 15th.
