While on a daring adventure to find his family, Hugo Cabret discovers a robot in the walls of a Paris train station which transports him to a world of wonder, mystery and magic. In this place, he and an eccentric girl piece together the mystery surrounding his missing family, using the robot, a heart shaped lock and the comical characters they meet along the way as clues and the road map back to where he belongs.
