Damar of Star Trek DS9
Casey Biggs has received his greatest acclaim for his extensive stage work. A Juilliard graduate, he performed with John Houseman’s prestigious performance troupe and toured throughout America and Europe. He was a member of the original cast of the musical The Cradle Will Rock. He was also a member of The Acting Company and the famed Arena Stage in Washington D.C. It was in D.C. that he received notable acclaim for his performance as Odysseus in Homer’s The Odyssey.
Casey has been nominated five times for the Helen Hayes Award for his work at Arena Stage, with a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Residence Play for his role in Long Days Journey into Night.
Star Trek fans will know him for his role as Damar in the series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Biggs believed the small, two-line part would be a simple one-shot guest role, but based on his acting, he was asked back to expand on the role and became Gul Dukat’s right hand man throughout the series’ run.
Casey enjoys meeting fans of his Star Trek work, but is always anxious to expose those people to the thrill of live performance. He will be doing so at his Friday night play with his good friends Jeffrey Combs and Marc Alaimo.
Mr. Biggs will be attending the Friday Night Meet & Greet and be available to talk to people throughout the weekend at his Autograph and Photo Sessions. His Q&A session will be held on Sunday, April 17th.
